Beautiful morning and it seemed a swim was the only way to wake up properly. Spent the morning doing laundry (it's necessary for me to do this every once in a while so that I remember why I usually pay someone to do it), We all caught a taxi into town and spent the morning walking around the market area looking for the sandals the guide book says Lomé is famous for (didn't find anything that looked comfortable much less stylish). Went to the internet cafe (the guys are waiting word on the boat schedule for shipping the car from Cameroon to South Africa). Rest of the afternoon was spent wandering around the Grand Marché which is an ugly three story concrete affair. Went back to camp for diner and the usual card games.
