Journal Entry:
I didn't sleep well at all - I kept waking up thinking that I'd over slept. So I wasn't too happy when I really had to get up - that both Stacy and Sue got to continue sleeping just made it worse. The first dive was another Manta Ray dive at Goofnuw Channel. We didn't seen any mantas, or really much of anything - a couple nudibranchs, a moray, a couple white tip reef sharks, and a starfish - not a very exciting dive. Since I was the only one diving I had my choice of where I wanted to go for the second dive. I debated it a bit, then decided to try for mantas again. So the same dive again, except this time we ran into mantas immediately. First there is one that passes through and keeps on going, but then two more show up. The two hang out around the cleaning station for the whole dive. One of the two is very big - a ten to twelve foot wingspan! Watching the mantas interact is almost like watching a dance. A very cool dive. The ride back to shore is very rough...

Back on shore I nap for an hour before lunch. After lunch I spend the rest of the day trying to stay awake. Mostly I worked on my photos - I took a lot on the second dive so there are more than a hundred to go through. Sue, Stacy and I have a little happy hour on the beach before diner. At diner I get eaten alive by the mosquitoes - especially my feet - the girls hardly get touched (so much for the sugar and spice theory). After diner we use the dive shops phone line and Stacy's computer and check email.
